Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has informed MP Hibi Eden that the Edappally–Aroor elevated highway project will not proceed for now. According to the minister's communication, the Centre's current priority is to widen the rest of the Thiruvananthapuram–Kasaragod NH 66.
