A classroom is one of the few places where children should not have to perform for an audience. A new order in Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur district is built on exactly that idea — government schools there must now keep unauthorised outsiders and YouTubers out.
The directive comes from the district's Basic Education Department. District Basic Education Officer Vikas Chandra Srivastava issued it on August 17 after reports that individuals entered council-run schools without permission, filmed the premises and staff, and posted the footage on social media.
What the Balrampur order actually bars
In simple terms, no unauthorised person can walk into a government school in Balrampur to take photos or shoot video. The order specifically names outsiders, YouTubers and social media content creators.
Why the department moved against school visitors
The stated reason is disruption. According to the order, such visits disturbed teaching, hurt the dignity of teachers and damaged the department's reputation.
The timing matters too. With phone cameras everywhere, a single classroom video can go viral in hours — whether it is accurate or not. The department moved after such material started appearing on social media.
